Sometimes, users may need to share login details to a platform/service they manage for our support team to provided necessary support. For instance, we do provide free migration services. For us to achieve this, a user may need to share login details for the previous cPanel hosting account so we can do data migration on their behalf.
As such, we provide a secure way to share such credentials with our team via our Centralized Ticketing System.
How it Works
When a user opens a ticket, they choose whether or not our support team is allowed to access their platform. If Yes, a sub-form appears allowing you to share credentials for the particular platform to allow us access.
Why is this platform Secure
What makes sharing credentials via this platform secure? A few factors do:
- The credentials shared are stored in an encrypted way in our database. They cannot be read from there by any third parties.
- The credentials shared will not be displayed on your ticket. This means, while we send and receive emails to each other, your credentials will not be carried along the email
- Only authorized support staff can access your credentials. Only the support agent working on your ticket can access the credentials.
- The credentials are not transferred to any other platform. The credentials cannot be transferred to 3rd parties.
- Credentials are moved securely via HTTPS between user and our support agents.
- Once ticket is resolved, the credentials are automatically purged from our system and no record of them exists again.
