Adding External RSS Feeds To Your WordPress Site

Really Simple Syndication is the meaning of RSS and its a webfeed which automatically updates blog content automatically whenever there is something new. This is interesting to your website visitors because they get updated ahead of time every time a new blog,news or posts are published on your website. Its a good way of social networking and showing loyalty to your readers on their devices and services especially when RSS is standardized. So how do you add RSS widget to your WordPress?,

  • RSS can be added as an addon on devices and this is by simply subscribing to it
  • It can also be through the browser-;

    1.Visit your browser and go to the site the RSS should be added on.

2. copy the URL address to your homepage

3.At the end of URL add RSS and this is going to be your address

4. Open a new window and sign in WordPress

5. click on your profile or name

6.Go to dashboard- click on appearance- then widgets

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Search for RSS at the sidebar and drag it slowly. Where there is a box of URL paste the address you had copied earlier and click save.

7. Go to your blog and check the RSS feed. Next is creating RSS link

8. click on widgets again in the appearance menu and find RSS link

9. Drag the link to the righ upper area inside the side bar box

10. Choose a title on whether it should be dispalyed as a comment or a news or anything

11. Select the format of the link

12. Click the save button and your feed will be displayed
