Choice of VPS Panel

Having purchased a VPS, you might be in a fix, wondering what panel to use, noting that VPS by default do not have a panel by default. The common panel (Cpanel), which is used in shared posting is a paid service in VPS hosting. At Truehost, we have 3 panels that we offer support on; namely Cpanel, Cyberpanel and CWP. There are however other panels that you can use besides the 3 mentioned.

CPanel, CyberPanel, and CWP (CentOS Web Panel) are all web hosting control panels that provide a graphical user interface for managing websites, email accounts, databases, and other hosting-related tasks.

CPanel is one of the most widely used control panels and offers a wide range of features and tools for managing web hosting. It is a commercial product and is known for its ease of use, user-friendly interface, and robust feature set.

CyberPanel is an open-source alternative to CPanel, offering similar features and functionalities. It is known for its fast performance and is built on the latest web server technology (LiteSpeed Web Server).

CWP (CentOS Web Panel) is also an open-source control panel similar to CPanel and CyberPanel. It is a free and easy-to-use control panel, particularly for users who are familiar with the CentOS operating system.

The choice between these control panels will depend on a number of factors, including the user’s technical expertise, their specific hosting needs, and their budget.

How to manage DNS

Once you have installed a panel and added your domains, you will need to have the domain point to the VPs. This will enable the website hosted on the VPS to load when the domain is accessed and also emails to work. DNS management is done on several platforms:

  • Cloudflare
  • Olitt.com
  • Cpanel
  • Ezoics
