This article will help you understand which DNS records you need to add at your DNS host if you are using Cloudoon Mail
Generally, the mandatory DNS records for all emails are MX records and SPF records. DKIM and DMARC records are other popular DNS records used to manage email deliverability.
If you have ordered Cloudoon Mail and you use an Extenal DNS service provider such as Cloudflare, Digital Ocean, Linide etc, follow these steps to connect our domain to Cloudoon Mail
Create MX records #
1.Login to your DNS management platform
2.Add a new record with the following details
Name/Host | TTL | Record Type | Value/Destination | Priority |
Type your domain or @ | 3600 | MX | sm1.cloudoon.com | 0 |
Note: If you had a diffrent MX record, you will need to remove that first
3. Save
Create SPF Record #
Add the following SPF record
Name/Host | TTL | Record Type | Value/Destination |
Type your domain or @ | 3600 | TXT | v=spf1 include:_spf.cloudoon.com ~all |
