How to repair/configure DKIM and SPF records in the cPanel

DKIM and SPF configuration helps much in improving the deliverability of emails. Activating DKIM helps in reducing the chances of your emails being considered spam.

Sender Policy Framework (SPF) is also an email authentication method that is used by servers to detect whether your email was authorized by a server to be sent  from the domain. SPF helps in protecting the domain name from spoofing and assures message deliverability.

SPF is responsible for ensuring that your messages are delivered to spam in the recipient’s end or to be rejected even though they are genuine.

The following are simple steps on how to configure and repair SPF and DKIM

Step 1

Login to your domain cPanel and navigate to the Email section. Open the Email deliverability menu or link.

Step 2

In the Email deliverability section. Check on the DKIM and SPF if problems exist.

Step 3

If problems exist, click on the manage button to proceed and fix the missing records. Install all the suggested records as shown below.

Note: Install both the DKIM and SPF suggested records

After clicking on the Install button, wait until the loading completes.

Step 4

Upon completion, your SPF and DKIM records should have been installed and configured well and should appear as follows.

If the Status has not been validated yet and it persists, kindly contact your hosting provider.
