Intensive Cron Jobs or Scheduled tasks in WordPress

The performance of your server maybe affected by cron jobs that run every minute. But its also helpful in reducing the overall usage of pages. Intensive cron jobs or scheduled tasks can be run after every 5minutes as the user requires and to avoid server load php can be run from the command line. To automate the cron job disable the wp-cron.php (in wordpress). Intensive Cron jobs may however breach some policy if ran when not needed if they are resource intensive.
