Installing and Configuring TinyMCE Advanced Editor Plugin

TinyMCE is a plugin that complements the post and page editor plugin by adding new buttons and functionalities. TinyMCE enhances your website page building and colouring. There are enough functionalities in the TinyMCE standard WordPress WYSIWYG(what you see is what you get) to always enable you to get started with the plugin. TinyMCE is always a free plugin ready to use once installed. The buttons will always ease your work when it comes to shortcuts and adding new elements such as adding the text background colour, non-breaking line spaces and anchors. The shortcuts include copy and paste, adding more characters as well as tables on your post.

To install the plugin

• Go to your WordPress dashboard as the administrators
• Click Plugins-add new
• Search through the textbox, locate it and install TinyMCE plugin
• Finally activate it after the installation

Configuring TinyMCE in WordPress

• Login as the administrator in WordPress
• Click on settings – choose TinyMCE
• In the editor settings -drag icons from the tool-bar and drop them to either add or remove them. Arrange them in your own order.
• Check the box for-enable editor menu so that in case you ever need more features for occasion use you can always get them here.
• Click save changes
• On the toolbar on the left, click on posts-add new. The options required will be displayed in the WordPress Editor.
