It is meant for commercial entities.<\/strong> The .com.ng domain space is administered by Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility Criteria<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>.com.ng domains <a href=\"https:\/\/truehost.com\/domains-name-registration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">can be registered<\/a> by <strong>Nigerian citizens, residents, and companies<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Foreign entities need to have a physical address within Nigeria to be eligible.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Registration Rules and Restrictions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Domain names must be <strong>3 to 63 characters<\/strong> in length<\/li><li>Allowed characters are:<ul><li>Alphabets (a-z)<\/li><li>Numbers (0-9)<\/li><li>Hyphen (-)<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Leading and trailing hyphens are prohibited<\/li><li><strong>Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs)<\/strong> containing local languages are allowed<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Registration and Renewal Timeline<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Initial domain <strong>registration period<\/strong> is 1-10 years<\/li><li>Subsequently, domains can be <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/truehost.com\/support\/renew-domain-truehost\/\">renewed annually<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li>A 60-day grace period is provided after expiration to renew the domain<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Managing and Transferring Domains<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/truehost.com\/support\/domain-transfer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Registrar transfers<\/a><\/strong> are allowed after 60 days from initial registration<\/li><li>An authorization code needs to be obtained from the losing registrar<\/li><li>Nameservers and contacts can be updated post-transfer<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nameserver Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Between 2 to 13 nameservers can be configured<\/li><li>Both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are supported<\/li><li>DNSSEC can be optionally enabled<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About .com.ng Domains .com.ng is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) representing Nigeria.
