A broken permalink may be caused by a number of reasons as we are going to see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Method 1: Resetting Permalinks Structure.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    1.Login to your WordPress Dashboard<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2. Navigate to Settings>>Permalinks<\/strong>

    If you find that the setting is on post name, just click on save to reconnect the permalinks.

    If the problem started after installing a new plugin then the solution would be deactivating that particular plugin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    However, if you still facing the problem, then deactivate all plugins at once and start activating them one by one so that you can be able to identify the plugin that causes the particular issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Go to your Plugins<\/strong> Section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2. Click on Checkbox<\/strong> to perform Bulk Deactivate<\/strong> action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Method 3: Rename the .htaccess File.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In the case when the above two methods are not working for you then the issue relates to the configuration of your .htaccess<\/strong> file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    To fix this, you simply need to rename or disable<\/strong> the existing or default .htaccess file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    To disable\/rename the .htaccess<\/strong> file follow the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Login to your Control Panel,<\/strong> locate to File Manager<\/strong> to access the file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2. Go to Root<\/strong> Folder<\/strong> to locate the .htaccess<\/strong> file. If this is on the main domain, then it will be under the public_html folder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    3. Click on\u00a0.htaccess file, right-click on it and click on Rename<\/strong>\u00a0then\u00a0Enter<\/strong>\u00a0the new name in the pop-up to disable the file. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    4. After that Create<\/strong> a new .htaccess file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5.\u00a0Copy<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Paste<\/strong>\u00a0the below code in the newly created .htaccess file <\/strong>and\u00a0Save<\/strong>\u00a0it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
