This takes more time but uses less disk space.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Uncompressed<\/strong> &#8211; Saves all information in an uncompressed format. This uses more disk space but is faster.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Incremental<\/strong> &#8211; Stores only one uncompressed file. It saves only updated information and replaces that. This limits the restoration settings but is faster and uses the least disk space.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You can choose to check the <strong>Check the Available Disk Space<\/strong> to set the minimum disk space that should be available for a backup to happen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>Maximum destination timeout<\/strong> option defines the amount of time that a backup process allows uplaod of a single backup file.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The option <strong>Maximum restore timeout<\/strong> specifies the amount of time that a backup process allows to restore a file<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-style-zoooom\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"647\" height=\"348\" src=\"https:\/\/truehost.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18003\" srcset=\"https:\/\/truehost.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image.png 647w, https:\/\/truehost.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-300x161.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 647px) 100vw, 647px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Now set your Scheduling and Retention preferences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><th>Backup Daily<\/th><td>Creates a new backup on each selected day. You may want to don that, after which you now configure these below<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Select Users<\/strong> &#8211; You are able to select the specific users that you want to back up.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Backup Suspended Accounts<\/strong> &#8211; You can enable\/disable this to determine whether or not, suspended accounts should be backed up.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Backup Access Logs &#8211; This allows you to enable or disable backups for access logs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Backup Bandwidth Data<\/strong>  &#8211; This enables backing up of bandwidth data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Use Local DNS<\/strong> &#8211; When enabled this option confines the domain lookup to this server only, and does not query the DNS cluster.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Backup System Files<\/strong> &#8211; Enable this box if you wish to backup system files. This is for server restoration and not for account restoration. It is highly recommended to enable this setting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-style-zoooom\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"741\" height=\"372\" src=\"https:\/\/truehost.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18005\" srcset=\"https:\/\/truehost.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-2.png 741w, https:\/\/truehost.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-2-300x151.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 741px) 100vw, 741px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Configure your <strong>Database<\/strong>\u00a0backup settings. \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Per Account Only<\/strong> &#8211; This option backups up databases for each account using <strong>mysqldump<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Entire MySQL Directory <\/strong>&#8211; This option backups up all databases on the server by making a backup of the data directory:<strong> \/var\/lib\/mysql\/<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Per Account and Entire MySQL Directory<\/strong> &#8211; This will do backup for all databases on each account and all those on the server<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"614\" height=\"271\" src=\"https:\/\/truehost.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18006\" srcset=\"https:\/\/truehost.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-3.png 614w, https:\/\/truehost.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-3-300x132.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 614px) 100vw, 614px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Configure your\u00a0Backup Directory.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>D<strong>efault Backup Directory<\/strong> &#8211; This is usually set to \/backup bu default but you can change it by inputting a full path to your directory of preference.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Retain backups in the default backup directory<\/strong> &#8211; Selecting this option will keep a copy of the backupin the backup directory even after moving the backup to a different destination, otherwise the local backup will be deleted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mount Backup Drive as Needed<\/strong> &#8211; Select the Enable button to mount a backup drive. The server will check \/etc\/fstab\/em> for another mount point. For each destination that you choose, you could get different set up configurations.
