The domain will have to be removed from the account it is on before it can be added to the intended account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This guide can be used to resolve the error &#8220;<strong>userdata file for the \u201cdomain.com\u201d domain appears to be missing.&#8221; as well<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">First, confirm who owns the domain using the command below.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><code>\/scripts\/whoowns domain.com <\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the cPanel username returned is the account you intend to have the domain added to, we will need to manually remove currently existing records for the domain to avoid the error. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Steps<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kill DNS for the domain<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><code>\/scripts\/killdns domain.com <\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Search for the domain in cpanel\/users directory<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><code>grep domain.com \/var\/cpanel\/users\/*<\/code> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the files that will be listed, remove lines that have domain.com<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Search for the domain in cpanel\/userdata directory<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><code>grep -R domain.com \/var\/cpanel\/userdata\/*<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the files that will be listed, remove sections that have the domain name in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Update userdomains<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><code>\/scripts\/updateuserdomains<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rebuld httpd configurations<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><code>\/scripts\/rebuildhttpdconf<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Restart the webserver. <\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><code>systemctl restart httpd<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All Done. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you need to add the addon domain, you can now add it. Then delete it.
