# How to resolve “An issue was encountered while updating the domain nameservers”

This error happens if you try to change your domain nameservers but the domain is currently locked or has Registrar Lock enabled.

To resolve, Check registrar lock status

If enabled, click "Disable Registrar Lock"

Once disabled, you can then try again to update nameservers.
