After installing IIS on your Windows Server, you need to configure it before it can be useful. To configure IIS follow the steps below:

1. In Server Manager, go to Tools>>Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
2. Select Add website

3. Specify at least the following fields:

*Site name: name of the site

*Physical path: location of the website files

You can specify the IP and port number as well. You can also specify the Host name (the real name that is used to access this site e.g. example.com or mail.example.com).

4. Click Ok
