What’s the difference between web, mobile, and desktop Office apps?
Web and mobile apps work inside a browser or on a phone/tablet, no installation required. Desktop apps are full versions of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint that install directly on your PC or Mac. Not all plans include desktop apps, so check your chosen plan if offline access and advanced features matter to you.
Can I mix different Microsoft 365 plans for different employees?
